What we collect
When you use SyncUp, we collect the following information:
- Your name and email address (via Google Sign-In)
- Calendar availability data (to find meeting times)
- SyncUp titles and participant email addresses you provide
How we use it
Your data is used solely to provide the SyncUp scheduling service:
- Finding overlapping availability between participants
- Creating calendar events for matched meetings
- Sending email notifications about your SyncUps
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising purposes.
Third-party services
SyncUp integrates with the following services to function:
- Google Calendar API — to read your availability and create meeting events
- Google Sign-In — for authentication
- Resend — for sending transactional emails
Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.
Calendar data
SyncUp accesses your Google Calendar to check for scheduling conflicts. We only read event times (busy/free status) — we do not read event titles, descriptions, attendees, or other event details. Calendar access can be revoked at any time through your Google account settings.
Data retention
Your account data is retained as long as you have an active SyncUp account. SyncUp scheduling data (availability, matched times) is retained for the duration of each SyncUp and may be deleted after completion. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) for all data in transit. Authentication is handled through Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol. We do not store passwords.
